Anna Man Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison for Aggravated Vehicular Highjacking

 

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Bradley Scott Schlenker (DOB 04-29-1973) of 965 Toll Gate Road in rural Anna has been sentenced to twenty-five (25) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of Aggravated Vehicular Highjacking, a Class X Felony.  Schlenker entered a plea of guilty this morning before Presiding Judge Mark Boie at the Union County Courthouse in Jonesboro.

 

Schlenker was indicted by a Union County Grand Jury after he abducted a former girlfriend on the night of Monday October 25, 2010 and held her for several hours.  Schlenker was taken into custody by Union County Sheriff’s Deputies in the early morning hours of October 26, 2010 following a high speed pursuit on US Highway 51 near Anna.
