Wolf Lake Man Charged with Production of Cannabis Plants

 

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Jeffery R. Flemming (DOB 11/09/70) of 495 Wagon Wheel Road in rural Wolf Lake has been charged with one count of Unlawful Production of Cannabis Plants, a Class 3 Felony.  Flemming was arrested on Wednesday August 3rd following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office and Union County Drug Task Force.   Flemming is alleged to have grown more than twenty (20) cannabis plants on the property at his Wagon Wheel Road residence.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled August 30th at the Union County Courthouse in Jonesboro.

 

The Union County State’s Attorney’s Office reminds the public that charges are not evidence of guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which the government has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
