Two Anna Women Sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that the following individuals have been sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections:

Janice A. Dover (DOB 08/04/1976) of Anna, Illinois has been sentenced to two (2) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on one (1) count of Retail Theft, a Class 4 Felony.  Dover took possession of certain merchandise offered for sale at the Anna Wal-Mart without paying for such items.  Dover was arrested by Anna Police Officers on June 29, 2013.

Julie M. Puffer (DOB 06/21/1964) of Anna, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on one (1) count of Driving a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Drugs, a Class 2 Felony, and three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on one (1) count of Retail Theft, a Class 4 Felony.  Puffer was driving a vehicle while under the influence of drugs.  Puffer was arrested by an Illinois State Police Trooper on February 12, 2013 for the driving under the influence offense on Vienna Street in Anna, Illinois.  Puffer took possession of certain merchandise offered for sale at the Anna Wal-mart without paying for such items.  Puffer was arrested by Anna Police Officers on March 5, 2013 for the retail theft offense.  Both sentences will run concurrently.
