Two charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Ashley N. Wilkins (DOB 12/26/1984) of 702 Country Village Drive in Anna and Roger A. Rowan (DOB 06/08/1982) of 7815 US Highway 51 South in rural Dongola have each been indicted by the Union County Grand Jury on one (1) count of Unlawful Criminal Drug Conspiracy, a Class 1 Felony.  Wilkins and Rowan are alleged to have conspired with a third person to distribute heroin from the residence located at 115 Kohler Street in Anna between January and August of this year.  Each is being held at the Jackson County Jail in Murphysboro on $150,000 bond.  The Indictments follow an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

The Union County State’s Attorney’s Office reminds the public that charges are not evidence of guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which the government has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
