Five Sentenced to Department of Corrections

Five Sentenced to Department of Corrections

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced the following sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections:

John D. Reed, II (DOB 08/12/1968) of Centralia, Illinois has been sentenced to four (4) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Manufacturing, a Class 1 Felony.  Reed was arrested in May of 2014 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office regarding methamphetamine manufacturing at an Anna residence during March of 2014.

Marcus D. Lietz (DOB 01/16/1980) of 617 East High Street, Anna, Illinois has been sentenced to two (2) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Aggravated Driving While License Revoked, a Class 4 Felony.  Lietz was arrested in January of 2014 following a traffic stop by a Union County Sheriff’s Deputy in Anna.

Jenny D. Spurlock (DOB 01/13/1983) of 1103 Public Square, Jonesboro, Illinois has been sentenced to four (4) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with a recommendation of Impact Incarceration after pleading guilty to Petition to Revoke Probation for the original offense of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Class 1 Felony.  Spurlock was originally charged in September 2013 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office regarding drug activity at a Kohler Avenue residence in Anna.

Christopher L. Peterman (DOB 12/17/1975) of 1405 Wing Hill Road, Cobden, Illinois has been sentenced to eighteen (18) months in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Unlawful Purchase of Methamphetamine Precursor, a Class 4 Felony.  Peterman was arrested in February of 2014 following an investigation by Illinois State Police.

Nicole M. Fields (DOB 05/18/1981) of Little Rock, Arkansas has been sentenced to two (2) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Identity Theft, a Class 3 Felony.  Fields pleaded guilty to using a credit card stolen from a Union County man to make unauthorized purchases at an Anna retailer.  Fields was indicted by a Union County Grand Jury in 2012 and extradited from Louisiana earlier this year.
