Six Sentenced to Department of Corrections

Six Sentenced to Department of Corrections

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced the following sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections:

Kristy L. Marshall (DOB 3/26/1978) of Marion, Illinois has been sentenced to six (6) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to two (2) counts of Retail Theft, a Class 3 Felony and a Class 4 Felony.  Marshall was charged following an investigation by the Anna Police Department.

Floyd E. Burton, III (DOB 1/1/1988) of Jonesboro has been sentenced to six (6) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with a recommendation of Impact Incarceration after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Burglary, a Class 2 Felony and admitting a Petition to Revoke Probation for the original offense of Conspiracy: Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Manufacturing, a Class 1 Felony.  Burton was arrested by Jonesboro Police as part of an investigation regarding the burglary of the Jonesboro One Stop in the early morning hours of January 31, 2015. Burton pleaded guilty to Conspiracy: Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Manufacturing in March 2014 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

Brandon M. Leek (DOB 7/30/1990) of Anna has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, a Class 2 Felony and admitting a Petition to Revoke Probation for the original offense of Theft, a Class 3 Felony.  Leek was arrested in March 2015 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

Charles J. P. Mathis (DOB 4/14/1991) of Anna has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Unlawful Possession of Weapons by Felons, a Class 2 Felony.  Mathis was arrested in December 2014 at rural Cobden residence where Union County Sheriff’s Deputies were executing a search warrant and found him to be in possession of a firearm.

James T. Humm, Sr. (DOB 8/18/1954) of Jonesboro has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, a Class 2 Felony.  Humm was arrested in December 2014 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

Rodney R. Tipton (DOB 8/19/1983) of Jonesboro, Illinois has been sentenced to two (2) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Felony.  Tipton was arrested in May 2014 following an investigation by Union County Sheriff’s Office.
