Johnson County Man Sentenced to 10 years
for Methamphetamine Conspiracy

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that William R. Taylor (DOB 10/05/1978) of rural Johnson County, Illinois has been sentenced to ten (10) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after admitting a Petition to Revoke Probation for the original offense of Unlawful Methamphetamine Conspiracy, a Class 1 Felony.  Taylor was arrested in April 2011 as part of an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office and Johnson County Sheriff’s Office which showed Taylor had purchased methamphetamine manufacturing materials at an Anna retailer.  He pleaded guilty in June 2011 and was placed on probation.  Taylor subsequently violated his probation and was resentenced on April 21, 2015.
