Jonesboro Man Sentenced to Six Years for Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver

Jonesboro Man Sentenced to Six Years for Possession of
Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Steven D. Meier (DOB 07/18/1958) of Jonesboro, Illinois has been sentenced to six (6) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on Unlawful Possession with the Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class X Felony.  Meier’s will also serve a three (3) year period of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly known as Parole).  Meier’s was arrested on October 21, 2015 following a traffic stop by Anna Police.  The Union County Drug Task Force also assisted in the investigation.
