Dongola Man Sentenced to Prison for Failure to Update Sex Offender Registration

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Robert D. Lence, a.k.a. Pete Lence (DOB 09/18/1971) of Dongola has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Unlawful Failure to Report Change of Employment, a Class 2 Felony.  Lence failed to report that he had changed places of employment in accordance with the provisions of the Sex Offender Registration Act.  Lence was arrested in November of 2015 after an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
