Five Sentenced to Department of Corrections

Five Sentenced to Department of Corrections

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced the following sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections:

Christopher Lee Peterman (DOB 12/17/1975) of Anna, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, a Class 2 Felony.  Peterman committed an act of sexual conduct with a minor who was at least 13 years of age but under 17 years of age during December 2015.  Peterman was arrested in February 2016 following an investigation by Anna Police.  The Two Rivers Child Advocacy Center facilitated the interview of the minor victim.

Dawn M. Pickles (DOB 11/11/1982) of Eldorado, Arkansas, formally of Anna, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Criminal Sexual Abuse, a Class 4 Felony.  Pickles committed an act of sexual conduct with a minor between December 2008 and December 2010.  Pickles was charged in January 2015 following an investigation by Anna Police.  Pickles was extradited from Arkansas in February 2015 by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.  The Two Rivers Child Advocacy Center facilitated the interview of the minor victim.

Rachel D. Travis (DOB 02/15/1984) of Anna, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Class 2 Felony.  Travis delivered a fentanyl patch to a confidential source in January 2014.   Travis was arrested in March 2014 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office/Union County Drug Task Force.

Ricky R. Williams (DOB 08/31/1954) of Anna, Illinois has been sentenced to eighteen (18) months in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Harassment by Telephone, a Class 4 Felony.  Williams was arrested in January 2016 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office/Union County Drug Task Force.

Jeffrey Daniel Hale (DOB 03/28/1970) of Cobden, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Unlawful Possession with the Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class 2 Felony.  Hale possessed with the intent to deliver less than 5 grams of methamphetamine during February 2016.  Hale was arrested in February 2016 after an investigation by Cobden Police.   The Union County Sheriff’s Office/Union County Drug Task Force assisted in the investigation.
