Six Sentenced to Prison

Six Sentenced to Prison

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced the following sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections:

Alex E. Pulliam (DOB 05/12/1995) of Tunnel Hill, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Aggravated Battery, a Class 3 Felony.  Pulliam struck a Union County Sheriff’s Deputy while in the holding area of the Union County Sheriff’s Office in March 2016.

Ashley M. Wilson (DOB 01/06/1983) of Anna, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Aggravated Driving While Under the Influence of Drugs, a Class 2 Felony.  Wilson was arrested in December 2014 following a traffic stop by Cobden Police.

Kyle D. Weatherington (DOB 03/02/1985) of Harrisburg, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Burglary, a Class 2 Felony. Weatherington was arrested in May 2015 following an investigation by the Anna Police Department which showed he entered an Anna retailer in February 2015 with the intent to commit a forgery. The sentenced will run consecutively to a six year sentence for Residential Burglary imposed in Saline County.

James Garrett (DOB 10/31/1968) of Cobden, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Knowingly Giving False Information, a Class 3 Felony.  Garrett was arrested in May 2015 after giving false information by failing to report an internet protocol address in his sex offender registration as required by the Sex Offender Registration Act.

Joshua A. Parker (DOB 09/27/1989) of Cobden, Illinois has been sentenced to eighteen (18) months in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Harassment by Telephone, a Class 4 Felony.  Parker repeatedly made calls to his estranged wife in October 2015 with the intent to harass. Parker was arrested in December 2015 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.  The charge was elevated to a felony based upon a prior conviction.

Joshua L. Burton (DOB 09/23/1995) of Tamms, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with a recommendation of impact incarceration after admitting a Petition to Revoke Probation for the original offense of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials, a Class 2 Felony.  Burton was arrested in March 2014 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office/Union County Drug Task Force.
