Six Sentenced to Prison

Six Sentenced to Prison

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced the following sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections:

Francisco Pacheco (DOB 12/08/1980) of Grand Tower, Illinois has been sentenced to sixty-six (66) months in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to two (2) counts of Domestic Battery, both Class 4 Felonies.  Pacheco was arrested in April of 2016 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.  The Two Rivers Child Advocacy Center in Anna, Illinois facilitated the interviews of the minor witnesses.

Rusty W. Lee (DOB 05/13/1989) of Dongola, Illinois has been sentenced to forty-four (44) months in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to two (2) counts of Domestic Battery, both Class 4 Felonies.  Lee was arrested in April 2016 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

Christopher B. Hicks (DOB 08/29/1991) of Cobden, Illinois has been sentenced to five (5) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, a Class 1 Felony.  Hicks was arrested in June 2016 by the Anna Police at a residence where he was found to be in possession of LSD packaged for delivery.  Union County Drug Task Force assisted with the investigation.

Richard L. Bowen (DOB 06/28/1988) has been sentenced to two (2) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Theft, a Class 3 Felony.  Bowen was arrested in February 2011 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.  Bowen took electronics from a home on Lick Creek Road in rural Union County in August 2010

Jessie L. Griffin (DOB 10/18/1958) of Tamms, Illinois has been sentenced to two (2) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Driving While License is Revoked, a Class 4 Felony.  Griffin was arrested in July 2016 following a traffic stop by the Anna Police.

Nathan M. Cohoon (DOB 08/10/1989) of Vienna, Illinois has been sentenced to two (2) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Felony.  Cohoon was arrested in March 2016 following a traffic stop by Illinois State Police.
