Seven Sentenced to Prison

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced the following sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections:

Tiffany B. Townley (DOB 10/14/1989) of Buncombe has pleaded guilty for her role in an April 2017 home invasion and robbery in Dongola.  Townley has been sentenced to fourteen (14) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Home Invasion, a Class X Felony and will serve three (3) years of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly known as Parole).  Townley was arrested in June 2017 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

Matthew P. Wettig (DOB 01/29/1989) of Anna has been sentenced to four (4) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with an impact incarceration recommendation after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Residential Burglary, a Class 1 Felony, and two (2) counts of Burglary, both Class 2 Felonies.  Wettig will serve a two (2) year term of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly parole).  Wettig was arrested in August 2017 following an investigation by Anna Police.

Rosa M. Parks (DOB 02/02/1979) of Anna has been sentenced to four (4) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Felony.  Parks will serve a one (1) year Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly parole).  Parks was arrested in July 2017 following a traffic stop by Illinois State Police.  Parks was also sentenced to concurrent sentence four (4) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after admitting a Petition to Revoke Probation for the original offense of Burglary, a Class 2 Felony.

Andrew James Quintana (DOB 09/16/1963) of Anna has been sentenced to concurrent three (3) year terms in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Violation of Sex Offender Registration Act – Failure to Report Annually, a Class 2 Felony.  Quintana also admitted to a Petition for Revocation of Probation for the Original Offense of Violation of Sex Offender Registration Act – Failure to Report Annually, a Class 3 Felony, in a separate case.  Quintana will serve a two (2) year term of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly parole).  Quintana failed to report to the Union County Sheriff’s Office to update his annual registration in June 2017 as required by the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act.

Edward E. Pearl (DOB 08/02/1951) of McClure has been sentenced to two (2) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Driving While Licensed Revoked, a Class 3 Felony.  Pearl will serve a one (1) year term of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly parole).  Pearl was arrested in September 2016 following a traffic stop by Anna Police.

Troy L. Guynn (DOB 09/19/1976) of Anna has been sentenced to one (1) year in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Driving While License Revoked, a Class 4 Felony.  Guynn will serve a one (1) year term of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly parole).  Guynn was arrested in August 2017 following a traffic stop by Cobden Police.

Marin F. Amesquita (DOB 10/28/1979) of Cobden has been sentenced to one (1) year in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Driving While License Revoked, a Class 4 Felony.  Amesquita will serve a one (1) year term of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly parole).  Amesquita was arrested in April 2017 following a traffic stop by Cobden Police.
