Four Sentenced to Prison

 

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced the following sentences to the Illinois Department of Corrections:

 

Wesley Allen Conkle (DOB: 2/19/1985) of Dongola Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Aggravated Stalking (Class 3 Felony).  Conkle will also serve a four (4) year Mandatory Supervised Release.  Conkle was arrested in October 2018 following an investigation by Union County Sheriff’s Deputies.  Conkle repeatedly called and texted a woman in June 2018 who had an active order of protection against him.  Conkle was also sentenced to a concurrent term of three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on one (1) count of Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony).  He was placed on probation for that offense in May 2017 and his probation was revoked based upon the Aggravated Stalking conviction.

 

Andrew Stefan Freund (DOB: 01/08/1990) of Herrin, Illinois has been sentenced to three (3) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Burglary (Class 2 Felony).  Freund will also serve a two (2) year Mandatory Supervised Release.  Fruend stole multiple cell phones from an Anna business in January 2019.  The case was investigated by Anna Police.

 

Emanuel M. Crespo (DOB: 1/26/1997) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri has been sentenced to four (4) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to one (1) count of Burglary (Class 2 Felony).  Crespo will also serve a two (2) year Mandatory Supervised Release.  Crespo was arrested in December 2018 by Anna Police shortly after he entered an Anna business and removed a portion of the cash register.

 

Joseph Kevin Kelley (DOB: 11/19/1987) of Jonesboro, Illinois has been sentenced to four (4) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after admitting to a Petition for Revocation of Probation for the original offense of one (1) count of Aggravated Possession of a Stolen Firearm (Class 1 Felony).  Kelley will also serve a two (2) year Mandatory Supervised Release.  Kelley was arrested in September 2017 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.  Kelley was found to be in possession of five (5) stolen firearms.  He was resentenced to prison after failing to comply with the terms of his probation.
